Age of the Gods: Wonder Warriors - Playtech Demo

Age of the Gods: Wonder Warriors is a 5-reel, 243-line slot machine game developed by Playtech with the theme of Artemis, the goddess of hunting in ancient Greek mythology.

Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, wilderness, childbirth, and protector of young women, was the twin sister of Apollo and daughter of Zeus and Leto.

As a young child, she asked her father Zeus for a bow and arrows, a hunting pack of hounds, and the privilege to remain eternally virginal.

She became known as a skilled archer and fierce protector of the wild.

One of the most famous stories involving Artemis concerns the hunter Actaeon.

While hunting in the forest, Actaeon accidentally stumbled upon Artemis bathing in a secluded pool.

Enraged at this invasion of her privacy, Artemis transformed him into a stag.

In a tragic turn of events, Actaeon's own hunting dogs failed to recognize their master and tore him to pieces, demonstrating the goddess's swift and severe punishment for those who offended her.

Another notable tale involves Orion, a giant hunter who became Artemis's hunting companion and possibly the only man she ever came close to loving.

However, different versions tell of his death - in one, Apollo, concerned about his sister's affection for Orion, tricked her into shooting him by challenging her to hit a distant object in the sea, which was actually Orion swimming.

In another version, Orion boasted he would kill every animal on Earth, prompting Gaia to send a scorpion to kill him.

Artemis later placed him among the stars as the constellation Orion.

Artemis was also known for her role in the Trojan War, where she supported the Trojans alongside her twin Apollo.

She was involved in several incidents during the conflict, including the sacrifice of Iphigenia, daughter of Agamemnon.

When the Greek fleet was stuck at Aulis due to adverse winds, Artemis demanded the sacrifice of Iphigenia as punishment for Agamemnon killing one of her sacred deer.

However, in some versions, Artemis saved Iphigenia at the last moment and made her a priestess at her temple in Tauris.

The goddess maintained a group of followers known as the Hunters of Artemis, young women who swore off romantic relationships to join her in the hunt.

Her sacred animal was the deer, and she was often depicted carrying a bow and arrows, accompanied by a pack of hunting dogs.

Her temples were often built in wild places, and she was particularly worshipped in Ephesus, where one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World was built in her honor.

As a virgin goddess, she was also a protector of young girls and women, overseeing their transition from childhood to womanhood.

Like other games in the Age of the Gods series, Age of the Gods: Wonder Warriors also features four progressive jackpots - Power, Extra Power, Super Power, and Ultimate Power - which are randomly triggered and give players a chance to win big.
