Phoenix Heat - Playtech Demo

Phoenix Heat is a 5-reel, 30-payline mythological firebird slot developed by Playtech, set against a sun-scorched temple horizon where a blazing phoenix circles above the reels. The game combines a classic left-to-right payline structure with a coin-collection engine driven by the Fire Boost symbol, which sweeps up Cash Prize, Free Games and Diamond coins in a single fiery pass. Stacked Wilds, a Fire Spreader that scatters extra coins, a Nudge mechanic on reel 5, the Fiery Booster upgrade and four Fire Boost Prizes give every spin multiple ways to ignite.

The Ashes of the Sun Temple

Far beyond the last trade road, where the horizon burns copper at every hour of the day, stands a temple that no one has ever seen unlit. Its towers rise out of a haze of heat, half stone and half mirage, and the air above them trembles as though the sky itself were about to catch. The people of the plain call it the Sun Temple, though the older maps give it no name at all.

Within its highest sanctuary sleeps a bird of flame. Every age it wakes, spreads its wings across the burning sky, and lets its feathers scatter embers over the courtyards below. Where those embers settle, the old treasures of the temple stir back to life: gilded chests half buried in ash, jewelled orbs cradled in bronze talons, eggs of hammered gold waiting on their pedestals, and single iridescent plumes drifting on the updraught.

The phoenix does not guard these things so much as awaken them. Its heat is a kind of memory, calling every buried relic back to the surface before the fire fades and the sands close over them once more. Those who climb the temple steps learn quickly that nothing here is claimed by patience alone. The riches belong to whoever is standing in the courtyard at the moment the great wings beat and the embers fall, and that moment arrives without warning, again and again, as long as the bird continues to rise from its own ashes.

Reels, Paylines and Wilds

Phoenix Heat plays across five reels with 30 fixed paylines. Winning combinations must begin on the leftmost reel and run across consecutive reels on the same line, and only the highest win pays per line. The paytable is led by the treasure chest, followed by the golden egg, the red orb, the blue orb and the phoenix feather, with A, K, Q and J filling the lower tiers.

The phoenix head marked WILD substitutes for all standard symbols and can appear stacked, covering multiple positions on a single reel. It does not substitute for the Fire Boost symbol or for any coin symbol.

Fire Boost and the Coin Symbols

The Fire Boost symbol shows a purple medallion wreathed in flame. In the main game it lands only on reels 1 and 5, and whenever it appears it collects every coin symbol currently in view. Three coin types exist: the Cash Prize coin, which carries a value expressed as a multiplier of the total bet; the Free Games coin, marked with a plus and a number; and the Diamond coin, which unlocks the Fire Boost Prizes.

Cash Prize coins can carry values of 0.5×, 1×, 1.5×, 2×, 3×, 5×, 10× and 15× the total bet. Coins reset at the start of every new spin, so they must be collected on the spin they land. When more than one Fire Boost is in view, each one collects the coins on screen.

Free Games

Landing a Fire Boost on reel 1 and/or 5 together with one or more Free Games coins triggers the Free Games feature. The total number of spins awarded equals the sum of the numbers on all collected Free Games coins. In the main game these coins carry values of +3, +4, +5, +7 and +10; during the feature they may also show +2.

Inside Free Games the Fire Boost symbol can land on any reel and locks in place for a random duration of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 spins, with its remaining counter displayed on the symbol. Every locked Fire Boost collects all coins that land, awarding each prize once per Fire Boost on the reels. A new Fire Boost cannot land on a position already occupied by one. The feature can be retriggered indefinitely by landing a Fire Boost alongside a Free Games coin.

Fire Spreader

The Fire Spreader is a golden medallion bearing a rising phoenix emblem. When it lands anywhere on the reels in either the main game or Free Games, it spreads up to five random coin symbols across the grid. Spread coins cannot occupy positions already held by Fire Boost symbols, and once the spreading is complete the Fire Spreader itself transforms into a random coin.

Nudge and Fiery Booster

The Nudge feature applies to reel 5 during the main game. On non-triggering spins the reel may shake and shift up or down to bring a Fire Boost symbol into view, converting a near miss into a triggered feature.

The Fiery Booster is a burning halo effect that can appear on Cash Prize and Free Games coins in both game modes. If a Fire Boost is anywhere on the reels, the effect upgrades the value of those coins. During Free Games it can instead extend the spin counter on a newly landed Fire Boost, up to a maximum of 10 spins.

Fire Boost Prizes

Landing a Diamond coin together with a Fire Boost awards one of four fixed prizes, selected at random: GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR or MINI. Each prize is calculated from the total bet, and each can be won more than once in the same round. Collected Diamonds may also carry multipliers, with MINI able to appear at 2×, 3× or 5×, MINOR and MAJOR at 2× or 3×, while GRAND carries no multiplier. The four prize meters are displayed above the reels at all times.

Extra Bet and Buy Feature

Extra Bet is toggled from the panel to the left of the reels and improves the chance of triggering Free Games. Activating it increases the total bet by 1.5×, though it does not alter the standard payline payouts.

The Buy Feature button sits above the Extra Bet panel and starts the Free Games feature directly with a minimum of six spins. The purchase costs 70 times the total bet, and the button is unavailable if the purchase would exceed the maximum permitted stake.
