Age of the Gods: Maze Keeper - Playtech Demo

Age of the Gods: Maze Keeper is a 6-reel, 4096-line slot machine game developed by Playtech based on the Minotaur, the half-man, half-bull monster from ancient Greek mythology.

The tale begins with King Minos of Crete, who prayed to Poseidon to send him a sign confirming his right to rule.

Poseidon sent a magnificent white bull from the sea, with the understanding that Minos would sacrifice it back to him.

However, the bull was so beautiful that Minos decided to keep it and sacrificed another in its place.

Enraged by this deception, Poseidon punished Minos by making his wife Pasiphae fall madly in love with the white bull.

Consumed by this unnatural passion, Pasiphae enlisted the help of the master craftsman Daedalus, who created a hollow wooden cow covered in real cowhide.

Through this deception, Pasiphae was able to mate with the bull, resulting in the birth of the Minotaur - a creature with the head of a bull and the body of a man.

The Minotaur, named Asterion, grew to become a ferocious monster that fed on human flesh.

Ashamed and horrified, King Minos commanded Daedalus to build the Labyrinth, an enormous maze beneath his palace at Knossos, to imprison the creature.

The Labyrinth was so intricate and complex that even Daedalus himself barely escaped after completing it.

To feed the Minotaur, Minos demanded that Athens (which he had defeated in war) send seven young men and seven young women every nine years as tribute.

These youths would be released into the Labyrinth, where they would wander hopelessly until the Minotaur found and devoured them.

This continued until Theseus, son of the Athenian king Aegeus, volunteered to be one of the fourteen youths.

Upon reaching Crete, he met Princess Ariadne, who fell in love with him and decided to help him.

She gave him a sword and a ball of thread (known as Ariadne's thread) provided by Daedalus.

Theseus tied one end of the thread at the entrance and unwound it as he went deeper into the Labyrinth.

After finding the Minotaur in the depths of the maze, Theseus engaged in a fierce battle with the creature.

He ultimately slew the Minotaur with the sword, and using Ariadne's thread, was able to find his way back out of the Labyrinth - something no one had ever done before.

The Minotaur's story represents themes of divine punishment, the price of deception, and the consequences of unnatural desires.

The Labyrinth itself has become a powerful symbol in literature and art, representing the complexity of the human journey and the challenges of finding one's way through life's difficulties.
